About

Amanda Higgins is an illustrator, environment artist, and visual developer. She was born in the providence Chongqing, China and grew up in the southern suburb city Plano, Texas. Amanda is currently a student at Laguna College of Art and Design pursuing a BFA in Illustration with a minor in entertainment design.

With a childhood influenced by a traditional Japanese grandma and a geeky father, Amanda grew a fondness and love for animation, television, and movies. She was exposed to the grand scale of epics in the Lord of the Rings and Star Wars trilogies, the intense battles in Shonen anime, and the vast imagination and world building of Studio Ghibli movies. All of these works have the viewers convey a certain emotion, leading them through a emotional rollercoaster through moving drawings and fantastical ideas and storytelling. Amanda hopes to contribute to such storytelling through her art and love of creating atmospheric and limitless worlds.

When not drawing and painting Amanda can be found watching every new movie in the theaters and or replaying the Uncharted games for the nth time.
